It’s been pretty quite around here in the last month or so. Just one little check up since Jack’s halo came off, but next week marks the one month point for Jack and 3 months for Hunter. Jack is going to be getting an x-ray of his neck to make sure everything still looks good and Hunter will be getting his 3 month CT scan. Half way though our last halo. I am so very excited to be able to have them wear normal clothes and jackets this winter. I will keep you all updated on how the results turn out. Hopefully Dr. Durham (the neurosurgeon) will have a decision on how long to keep Jack in the collar too.
2 more weeks till school starts and I am more excited then they are. Jack and Hunter will continue with Monday and Wednesday mornings with the same teacher as last year and will have an additional day of therapies. This year Taylor also is starting Kindergarten so it is very exciting.
We had a wonderful turn out for the Benefit ride and Jeff and Heather did a fantastic job getting everything together. I can’t thank everyone enough for all their love and support! We had about 30 riders and about 100 at the after party. Thanks to Heather’s Mom Anne for letting us use the wonderful Campbell home! I hope to double the amount of riders next year and really spread the word. We were able to raise over $2000 for the boys and can’t wait to put it to go use for them. Couple of ideas we have been throwing around include a ramp from inside the house to outside or a great play area for them. Again thanks to everyone involved we love you all.
Our next event is scheduled for October 1st. We are going to be hosting “Toss for the Twins” horseshoe tournament. It will be held at Auburn Pitts in Auburn NH. The cost is $35 per person or $70 per team. It includes a great all you can eat buffet. I will get the flier up on the site today. If for any reason you can not get the flier to load (could be because of a different Microsoft word version) please let me know and I can either mail you a copy or try emailing it to you.
